Первую половину жизни работал, как художник и архитектор, занимался фотографией и философией. Вторую половину, работаю как режиссер и сценарист, не оставляя при этом изобразительного искусства и философии. Окончил художественный факультет Красноярского художественного института, ФПК градостроительства МАРХИ и ВГИК- ВИППК.

Привет! Меня зовут Виктория. Я журналист из Москвы. Я пишу на общественно-политические темы и по долгу службы сталкиваюсь с разными людскими историями. Какие-то из них радостные и счастливые, другие - полны скорби и несправедливости. Вот почему я так бережно несу через года свое детское увлечение - живопись. Она помогает мне не только перезагрузиться, но и выразить явления, которые иногда описать словами не представляется возможным: бедность, дискриминацию по гендерному и национальному признакам, жестокость правительства, бессилие закона. В стране, в которой журналистам приходится претерпевать гнет со стороны власть имущих, живопись позволяет мне не сдаваться и продолжать делать свою работу.
Hi! My name is Viktoriia. I am a journalist from Moscow, Russia. I work on social and political topics so I meet lot of people’s stories. Some of them are full of pain and injustice. That’s why I did carried through the years my child’s hobby that I want to share with people. Art helps me not only to unload my brain but also to capture social phenomenons that are sometimes hard to describe with words such as: political games, poverty, gender and national discrimination, totalitarian government. Journalists in Russia are now harassed by administration. So art helps me to move on doing my job and not to give up.

Alexey Smirnov is a contemporary, distinctive artist working at junction of fine art with its inherent esthetics and contemporary art with its intentional “madness”, challenge and hidden meaning.
For many years the painter have been trying to find himself. Never copying any of his colleagues-artists he refined his mastership, searched for his own artistic language. Soon these endeavours began to produce results – Alexey formed his original bright and remarkable volume technique of painting works of art.
The creative work of Alexey Smirnov differs with his enhanced sensitive perception of life, search of new means of expression consonant with modern times. The principal theme of Alexey Smirnov’s art is modernity. In his works the perception of environment loses its single-valuedness. Almost each painting makes the viewer to contemplate it long while, provoking a number of associations and deliberations. In his works one can often observe the collision of the mundane and the fantastic, interlacing of lyric and grotesque, romance and irony.
The characteristic feature of the author’s plastic language is a sharp feel of colouring, expression and fascination with texture, all of it allowing realize both formal decorative and conceptual psychologic tasks. Through the half-opened door of his art the author invites the viewer to make a step into the unknown, where vibrations of picturesque lines, gorgeous forms and fantastic constructions are filled with sense and obtain their ethereal tangibility, transform into structures of the World around us. The World consisting not of things and subjects but of essences, powers and energies. The play of lines of the picture, surfaces of colour and space in the artist’s compositions form metaphorical image of beingness, put in motion the viewer’s intellect, encouraging him for self-perfection and finding knowledge of eternal secrets of the universe.

Exploring ethnography and mythology, I shape the patterns of an ethnic group. Drawing on the ancient wisdom of folk tales and contemporary scientific research in psychology, sociology, and philosophy, I seek mythological metaphors that reflect the relationship between humans and the external world. In their unity and opposition, I see both immense potential and limiting factors for the development of an individual personality.
Participating in narrative events as an archaic, demonized feminine entity—Yaga-Roga—I personally traverse the path of my hero, embracing them and transforming along with them. While remaining myself, I am transformed through the metamorphoses of your destinies.
My authorial universe is created through a multidisciplinary approach. I work in the technique of acrylic painting, enhancing it with elements of mixed media. By combining methods of grisaille and polychromy, abstraction and figurative art, ornamentation, and local color, I develop my own unique visual language.
The language of performance and happening helps me establish a personal connection with the audience, gain instant feedback, and make them co-participants in the creative process.
This is how I create my own myth, immersing the audience in which they can discover pathways to overcome complex life challenges.
